Biography

I fell in love with the art of cinema when I was 10 and by the age of 12 I decided I want to be a part of its magic and create SFX for films. That looked like a very distant and impossible dream in my homeland (Bulgaria), but I was unable to give it up. My passion for SFX make up grew stronger and stronger over the years and finally in 2008 I managed to enroll on Media make up and SFX course in college in London. During the course I begin to develop interest in beauty and fashion make up too, as I realized it is an art on a 3D canvas that is the human face :)

I was fortunate to get my first make up job on a short film while still on my course. The moment I set foot at that film set I felt home and I knew I have made the right choice following my dream. There is no greater joy then making a living of something you really love and enjoy :) I have great passion for make up, art and dance and I love projects in which they all come together. I enjoy the challenge and creativity involved in beauty, fashion and SFX make up. I still get amazed and fascinated by the transformations one can achieve with the help of well applied make up :)

My journey of becoming make up artist was a very long and difficult one, but it was worth all the effort, passion, hard work and persistence. I love my work and I enjoy every second of it. I like to pamper my models/actors/clients and make them feel relaxed and comfortable.

Most of all I enjoy creating strong and artistic make up looks and gory SFX. Seeing people's faces and hearing their reactions when they see my bloody and gory effects gives me feeling of joy and satisfaction, as I know I have successfully created realistic effect. I feel the same way when people complement my beauty/fashion/fantasy make up looks :)

I have worked on various projects over the years creating different looks, moods and SFX. I have skills in the areas of life casting, sculpting, mould making, casting, creation and application of prosthetic make up, face and body painting, natural, beauty and fantasy make up and hair styling.
